Their relationship was one of great wealth and fame, but always had very shaky grounds. Scott was an alcoholic since his college years. Zelda had struggled with mental illness her entire life, spending the 1930s on in and out of different mental hospitals. From their lives I explore many themes relating to the 1920s, cultures views toward mental illness, and the process of nostalgia.
